Meetings and Events

The Emeriti members enjoy several activities each year that enable them to continue to be involved in the LACC community and to contribute to the efforts of faculty and staff to enhance the learning experience. The primary activities center around two general meetings held at the Faculty and Staff Center at LACC. These occur in the later Fall and at the end of the Spring semester. These meetings usually include greetings from college President who brings the attendees up to date on the programs and progress of the college. They also include one or more presentations from either faculty or students to illustrate particular activities or projects. There is always an excellent catered lunch, and there is much visiting, sharing of memories, and general socializing of the members. The Board of Directors of the Association also holds two or more board meetings throughout the year to plan events. In addition, the Association participates in several activities in collaboration with the Academic Senate and the LACC Foundation.
